is another player with good football bloodlines. His father Paul was a two-sport athlete (football and baseball) at Notre Dame, where he served as a backup quarterback to Rick Mirer and Kevin McDougal. Failla has offers from Brown and North Carolina, and is receiving interest from many Power 4 schools, including Virginia Tech, Syracuse and Northwestern. He moved from Pennsylvania to the Chicago area and played for Nazareth Academy last season. He’ll attend Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire next fall. Failla has a strong arm, has patience in the pocket, sees the field well, is accurate and usually delivers the ball on time. He passed for 2,116 yards and 26 touchdowns as a senior. Failla is also a strong runner, throws well on the run and can escape and create big plays with his feet when the pocket collapses. Failla will sometimes deliver the ball off his back foot when there is time and room to step and throw. Continued work with a coach who knows the quarteback position will help improve his throwing mechancis and footwork, and add to an exceptional skill-set.

Jackson Failla is a good pocket quarterback who delivers excellent football. His ability to read defenses and throw the football promptly is impressive. He has excellent mechanics and seems to thrive moving his feet to stay in front of defenders in the pocket. He is one of the better quarterbacks at delivering a football while sitting in the pocket. Failla has the skills of a good quarterback, especially at reading the defense and delivering the football.

Jackson Failla was one of the best quarterbacks at the Prep Redzone showcase. Failla has good size and does a good job throwing the football. At the showcase, he did well in the individual drills, in which he showed good touch when throwing the ball. He also showed good fundamentals in throwing the ball. Failla is a talented quarterback who does a good job throwing the ball.

played quarterback for North Allegheny last year. He has excellent mechanics when he throws the ball. His footwork in the pocket is excellent as well. He shows off his strong arm especially when throwing the ball for in breaking routes. Failla also shows good mobility. He is equally as good when the play breaks down or on designed sprint-out passing playing plays. Failla showed a ton of talent last year as a quarterback.

(Duquesne) was behind center. This season the QB1 position is up for grabs. As a 2026 prospect, this stud is listed at 6’3 | 180. Great size for a young QB looking to make his mark! Although he isn’t under the lights Jackson still slings the rock. I like that he looks comfortable running the offense. He has command and understands his reads. North Allegheny puts him in read-option scenarios, where he again and again makes the right read to pick up a good chunk of yards. I’m excited to see a full season of varsity tape from Failla!

Logan Kushner was in the building, so all other special passers would have to sit back and learn from the Division One prospect. No rush, North Allegheny is sitting pretty with multiple options to replace Kushner, who has yet to decide on his collegiate future. A ton of Failla’s tape comes under the sun, not under the lights. Still, as an evaluator who knows the QB seat is up for grabs, I can’t ignore this young man’s athletic profile. 6’3, 180 pounds, is a legitimate dual-threat passer, a ton of fantastic runs on tape, improvised or intentional. Great grades, I couldn’t help but put him on this list. Failla has some reps under the lights, but I imagine they came in garbage time with NA already up big on teams. I’ll save a proper eval for when he sees Varsity time behind center.
