Expert Analysis
Matt Tate | Prep Redzone Scout
Schwartz has attended our PRZ events multiple times, and I’ve seen the growth. He has very good mental processing, and consistently takes in the coaching from his teachers. He has good athletic ability due to very good balance, change of direction, good speed, and acceleration. His shifty quick feet were on full display, making LBs miss during the drills. His balance really stood out to me. When he’d stumble or lose his footing, he’d readjust and keep churning forward. His development as a pass catcher needs to be noted too, he had a good performance catching the ball. Keep an eye out for Jack!

Schwartz impressed with polished footwork during drills, displaying quickness and agility getting in and out of cuts. He is a player that is always able to show up and show out at the Prep Redzone events and this was no different. In one on ones and 7 on 7 drills, Schwartz showcased his ability as a pass catcher, making several eye catching receptions. Entering his senior season, he looks primed for a breakout year.

Measuring in at 6’1 205-pounds, Schwartz carried the ball 48 times for 204 yards and 4 touchdowns. He has good athletic ability due to very good balance, good speed, acceleration, and change of direction. Schwartz uses his good vision at the line of scrimmage to diagnose which hole to attack. If one is covered, he drives his leg into the ground allowing him to pivot into the next. He thrives on physicality. Very good strength. He’ll put his shoulder down and truck through the linebacker. Very good stiff arm. He uses his very good balance to shed multiple tackles. Keeps churning forward and stays up when defenders go for his legs. I would like to see Schwartz develop more as a pass catcher out of the backfield, however he has a lot of potential going into this senior season.

Schwartz is a bruising downhill runner who relies more on power than speed to get through the defense. He measures in at 6’0 190 pounds. Schwartz has good athletic ability due to good speed, acceleration, change of direction, and balance. He has a good burst at the line of scrimmage giving himself an edge over the defensive line. Schwartz showed good vision when choosing the correct holes. He plays linebacker too, which helps with his knowledge of gaps. Schwartz thrives with creating contact and succeeding. He lowers his shoulder pad and uses his very good trucking to run through defenders. He will also use a powerful stiff arm to push defenders to the ground. Instead of running around the safety, he puts his head down to bulldoze through them. Jack is a natural catcher out of the backfield. Allowing an easy reliable target for his quarterback. I’m looking forward to seeing how Schwartz develops this upcoming season.

Schwartz was a player that was able to turn heads early with his burst of speed and standing out during drill work. During testing he was able to catch my attention with his quickness and change of direction. In drills he was able to show his shiftiness, breaking down the LB and making them miss in open field work. He had good vision and soft hands being able to make plays in the passing game as well.
