, a post-graduate transfer from Madison West High School to Suffield Academy for the fall of 2026, brings intriguing size and upside to the wide receiver position at 6’3”, 200 pounds. McDonald has already drawn attention with an offer from UW Whitewater. On film, he projects as a true outside receiver with the frame and physicality to line up at the X or Y. He thrives in contested catch situations, consistently winning jump balls and high-pointing the football with strong body control. His ability to track the ball downfield and finish through contact makes him a reliable vertical threat and an ideal fit in a spread offense.
McDonald’s combination of length and ball skills allows him to create mismatches against smaller defensive backs, and he shows the ability to stretch the field and make plays in traffic. While his playmaking ability is evident, there is limited film displaying a full route tree. Continued development in route running—particularly sharp breaks and separation at the intermediate level—will be key to elevating his game. Refining these areas will help him transition from a contested-catch specialist into a more complete and polished receiver at the next level.
