The leader in tackles in Class 3A by a mile with 66, Jace Bellamy Jace Bellamy 5'10" | 160 lbs | DB/WR Winterset | 2026 State IA has been a menace on the defensive side of the ball for Winterset to start the 2025 season. In addition to the ridiculous tackle numbers, he’s posted five pass-breakups (PBUs), three interceptions and has forced a fumble.

On the offensive side of things, Bellamy isn’t the workhorse running back for Winterset — that distinction goes to fellow senior, Ben Porter — but Bellamy, in a secondary role, is averaging 8.9 yards per carry, taking 18 for 160 yards and four scores. Similarly impactful through the air, Bellamy has caught seven passes for 147 yards and three touchdowns, leading his team in yards per catch at 21.

Though Bellamy’s strong suit is clearly defense as a safety for the Huskies, he’s an uber-important part of the Winterset offense, especially when they need a big play.
