While raw, with his blend of size and athleticism at his age, he surely has his best ball ahead of him, and P4 personnel offices will continue to fall in love with what they see. He is a long strider in space who is tough to bring down after the catch. He has room to grow as a blocker, but will toss himself into people and lay some devastating blows on defenders. He is learning how to move, which is typical with youngsters at this size with a basketball background. His best ball is ahead of him.

Swain has an offer from UAB and is an early candidate to lead the charge for the 2029 TE class in Alabama. Impressive frame on this kid for a youngster, coming in at 6’4 200. He is still raw and lean, so he still has the natural progression of his growth ahead of him. Swain is a long-striding, raw player, but he is still a mismatch and flashes some violence on tape. There’s so much to like here, and he will only get better as he gets older. I am expecting eventual P4 attention here.

Swain dominates defenders with his size. He has strong hands and can fight through contact and coverage to bring in passes, while also having the speed and acceleration to quickly turn upfield and make the most out of every pass.

Swain also excels as a blocker, consistently clearing the way for his teammates to make plays both out wide and in the run game. He’s a crazy talented freshman with plenty of room to keep developing, we all need to look out going forward.”

Swain picked up an offer from UAB recently, and I think more will soon follow. He’s shown a ton of great things on tape already, and has plenty of room to keep developing.
