Martinez is going to be a breakout star in 2026 and should burst onto the scene during the camp and showcase circuit this off-season. He has great length for the linebacker position, incredible natural instincts and ball skills and flashes closing speed, proper angles in space and explodes through contact. He is a long and rangy player that can apply pressure off the edge or up the middle and plays fast from sideline to sideline. As a sophomore, he should be one of the top rising linebackers in the WCAL and have a huge sophomore season for Valley Christian.

Depending on how you ask, sometimes Linebackers aren’t considered true “skill guys”, but we’re rolling with it in this write up. Martinez, like David Plunket III, is another kids off a Coyote Creek team that reached the 14U Pop Warner Super Bowl this past season. Just this morning I spoke with a coach that played against Coyote Creek and they were quick to point out that Martinez was a standout at the Linebacker position. Very strong kid and well-put together. Looks physically mature and plays with an attitude, just as all good Linebackers do. Look for him to make some serious noise on the Varsity level at Valley Christian, as early as next year as a freshman.
