Saunders is long and has good speed off the edge. He has a good spin inside and is a good bender who doesn’t lose his speed while bending. Saunders looked athletic during the individual drills as well.

Saunders is a 6’6” 240 lb. attacking edge defender with a relentless motor in the Valley Christian defensive front. He’s a force that plays fast and physical on every snap, consistently pursuing the ball and impacting plays well outside his initial alignment. A plus all-around athlete he’s got great range, speed, and competitive toughness to make plays all over the field. Smart and efficient with his movement, he takes disciplined pursuit angles and limits wasted steps. Brings heavy/violent contact as a tackler and shows he can break down and be a reliable finisher in space. Length, physicality, and high football IQ allow him to be effective setting the edge against the run, holding his gap, and forcing plays back inside.
