out of Irondequoit was a top defensive lineman in Section V this past season and although will stick on the DL at Cortland flashes the athleticism to even play the TE position. Athletic with natural strength and good hands at the point of attack.

has been a force of nature on the offensive and defensive side for Irondequoit High School. The physicality to want to run through the opponent just jumps off the tape here with Ballard. Starting on the defensive side, Ballard right now stands in the top 5 in sacks with 6. Coming off the LOS, Ballard’s pure power and speed is really what separates him in getting after the QB. I love his natural athleticism to be able to bend and dip around his blocks. That ability to bend really has granted him the ability to cause turnovers on QBs. So many times, Ballard was able to chase ball carriers down and make powerful tackles. This is a pure football player that wants to destroy the opponent. On offense, Ballard is a big body TE that can even be used at the WR spot. The underrated speed that Ballard has, mixed with the want to not go down on first contact really has stood out this season. You can tell that the DBs do not want to tackle this guy when he has the ball in his hands. A pure monster of a player that I am excited to see how his season ends and the more highlights that he produces.

is a physical lineman who is able to impact the game in a number of ways. Ballard does a great job of using violent hands. Ballard has the speed to win around the edge and is a really solid finisher on the Quarterback. With quick hands and great strength Ballard is a really tough matchup for most offensive lineman. Ballard shows some versatility in where he lines up on both sides of the ball and can be a stand up player or effective from a three point stance. On offense Ballard is a really solid tight end who has reliable hands. Ballard is a really tough TE to bring down and is a threat to gain extra yards after the catch. Ballard also is a solid route runner who understands where open spaces in zone coverages are. Ballard also is a really solid blocker who can make blocks in space or at the LOS.

This monster of a young player from Irondequoit High School stands in at a height of 6’1” and weighs 210-pounds. Isaiah Ballard is a hardworking player that loves to compete, improve his play on the football field, and even plays basketball during the winter. In addition to the TE position, Isaiah has playing experience at DE where his pure ability to use his size, speed, and power comes into play tremendously. The pure athleticism in this young man was put on full display at the TE position. Multiple times, Ballard was lined up in the slot running impressive routes for a TE at his age. Isaiah does a great job of fighting for space and sitting in the open lanes on hitch routes for his QB to find him. The ability to adjust up the field to make big time plays was put on full display when he ran routes in the short area of the field. Defenders had a very difficult time trying to bring Ballard down at first contact. Defenders must gang tackle Ballard, or he will drive forward for extra yardage. This is a TE that can make impressive catches in traffic and did so on multiple occasions this past season. Flipping to the DE position, the quickness coming off the snap of the ball was impressive to see. This is a DE that can rush standing up like an OLB or in a 3-point stance. Ballard was able to get by his blocks quickly and has a strong finishing ability to get to the QB for a sack. The ability to use his hands to run effective rip and swim moves was on full display when rushing the passer. Multiple times Ballard used his wingspan to his advantage when jumping and knocking passes down for no gain. This coming season, Ballard is looking forward to making even more impressive plays to put on film, but he wants to win sectionals with his teammates and make AGR in the process.
