Isaac Swauger Isaac Swauger 5'8" | 220 lbs | EDGE John Marshall | 2025 State WV has been a valuable addition to the John Marshall program this season after having to sit out last year due to transfer and wasted no time in being a key piece to their team this year.
He’s a versatile athlete who the Monarchs use in a few different ways on both sides of the ball but likely translates best to an OLB/Edge at the next level given his skillset. Swauger is a bit undersized length-wise but will surprise you with his athleticism and strength. He’s gotten some traditional DE reps this season out of necessity and holds his own as a smaller DL but is at his best when he’s playing in space at OLB. Swauger is a fluid athlete with pass rush and coverage ability that should make him a sought-after D3 prospect this year with the potential to develop into a quality college player in the future.

Fellow 2025 John Marshall LB Isaac Swauger Isaac Swauger 5'8" | 220 lbs | EDGE John Marshall | 2025 State WV had an eye-opening performance at the Skills Showcase this past Sunday. Although he doesn’t have the ideal length for the position, Swauger is a strong and physically built athlete at 5’7 1/2 and nearly 215 pounds. He tested very well and impressed during that portion of the camp with a 4.7 40, 4.8 pro shuttle, and a 3-yard broad jump. I’m excited to see him back out on the field this season after being unable to play his junior season due to an unfortunate late transfer ineligibility ruling and will really be seeing his first significant varsity playing time as a senior.
Swauger is unknown in that regard but his athleticism and physical strength paired with the glimpses we’ve been able to see from him through the years make you feel confident that he’ll produce a breakout season in 2024. John Marshall is shaping up to have a sneaky good linebacker corps with Swauger, Lemasters, and a pair of 2026 prospects that we like.
