Davis consistently accelerates through gaps, turning small holes into big gains with his quick burst and top-end speed. He shows excellent balance and body control, allowing him to absorb contact and stay on his feet through tackles. Defenders struggle to bring him down in open space, where his agility and vision make him a constant threat to break long runs. Davis also flashes ability as a receiver out of the backfield, displaying soft hands and natural playmaking instincts. With continued physical development and refinement of his vision, Davis projects as a dynamic, high-impact back capable of contributing immediately at the varsity and potentially collegiate level.

Davis has broken out as a playmaker out of the backfield for Mater East early into his varsity career. He’s quick and elusive with the ball in his hands and is a hard tackle in space given his smaller size (5’5″/150) and level of burst. He’s shown flashes of a strong receiving skillset, can accelerate through the hole or cut to space, and is a committed blocker in pass-pro situations. Davis will be among the top-ranked RBs in PRZ NV’s 2029 rankings debut.

At the 2025 Recruit Vegas Showcase and Combine, Davis conducted himself like a savvy veteran. The only issue is that he is still in middle school! His most impressive event was his 4.5 40 yard dash. He is explosive and smooth. His ability to run routes, track and catch the ball naturally will serve him well. He has similar traits and attributes of TreVeyon Henderson of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Originally a Philadelphia native, Idrees Davis has called Nevada home for several years now. Over the last two years, he has cemented himself near the very top of the list when looking at class of 2029 Running Backs in the greater Las Vegas area.
