Hirai made 57 total tackles (22 solo, 13 tackles for a loss) and sacked the quarterback six times last season. He recently attended Dartmouth’s prospect camp on July 10th and had plans of attending Cornell’s prospect camp on July 11th. There’s a lot to like about him as a pass rusher off the edge. Hirai uses his quickness, not so much moves, to beat tackles to the quarterback. What I like more is his ability to fight through double-teams to make plays on either the quarterback or the running back. Might be undersized for the FBS level, but could certainly fit somewhere at that position at a lower level.
