Hudson’s usage as a sophomore was limited as he recorded 11 receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown, along with 11 tackles on defense. Hudson really excels in the short and intermediate range, where he can take a quick dump-off pass and then do damage after the catch. He is very shifty with quick footwork and cutback ability that can make defenders miss in the open field. Friesen brings additional value as a return man who can effortlessly swim through the first wave of defenders to set his offense up nicely. We could also see him play a bigger role on defense, where he has experience at cornerback. His athleticism helps him stick with receivers in coverage while also tracking and defending the ball in the air.
