provided plenty of playmaking value for the Mustangs’ offense, though 2026 may be a challenge with the loss of several key starters on the offense this offseason. Hlavacek finished with 662 yards on 36 receptions (18.4 YPC) and 8 TDs in 2025. Hlavacek may need to bulk up on his size to succeed more on the outside, but he showcases excellent route-running ability to create openings in the short-to-medium game while using his impressive burst and speed to stretch defenses and outrun defenders after the catch that have allowed him to excel both as a receiver and as a kick returner. Hlavacek will remain an important piece for maintaining the Mustangs’ offensive production as they undergo a shakeup this offseason.

A state track qualifier for Mount Vernon, it’s no surprise that

‘s speed made him quite a dangerous playmaker as he broke out in Mount Vernon’s offense last season. Hlavacek recorded 662 yards on 36 catches (18.4 YPC) and 8 TDs in 2025. With 4.55 40 yard speed at his age already, Hlavacek is dangerous with the ball in his hands, but beyond his speed, Hlavacek shows sound footwork and fluid change of direction on his routes to win his reps and create separation even without the added burst. Hlavacek’s role for the Mustangs’ offense will become more important in 2026 as they undergo a major shakeup to that unit with the departure of several key starters this offseason.

to throw to. Holden was very productive as a sophomore with 36 receptions for 662 yards and eight touchdowns. Holden is a player who could end up receiving looks at DB or receiver, but I think he projects best as a receiver, where he really impressed with his hands. Holden is someone I see as a “chain mover,” who can be a possession-type receiver who is reliable at getting open near the sticks and making the catch when needed. He doesn’t seem to be shaken by DBs attempting to jam him and often gets past them cleanly. Great hands and concentration at the catch.

Hlavacek showed off his big-play ability when I scouted him during Mount Vernon’s Week 3 matchup with Solon. He fielded a first-quarter kickoff and raced 93 yards for a touchdown. The return put his speed and elusiveness on display. He also caught a seven-yard pass and contributed a pair of solo tackles. That’s a solid all-around performance for a sophomore in a rivalry game. Hlavacek is kind of a blank canvas right now with the potential to develop at multiple positions. His broad base of skills give him a chance for a future at receiver or defensive back. And he’ll be a special teams’ contributor.
