Stephens is a good back with a solid, well-built frame. He runs with good vision and patience, allowing blocks to develop before committing, and shows an understanding of how to set up his runs. He keeps his pad level low and runs through contact, consistently falling forward and picking up extra yards. He’s not easy to bring down on first contact and can handle some physical carries between the tackles. He saw some work last year, but should be in line for a much larger role next fall. I like the way he runs and think he can take a step forward with increased touches and responsibility.
