About Gunner

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A bonafide leader on the field lining up as Tight End & Defensive End for the Hillgrove High School in Powder Springs, Georgia. Very athletic & good on my feet. Can clear defenders out with power, opening up the run game. Excellent closing speed on defense creating havoc for pass game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Very coachable with a high IQ for the game that I love. Very dedicated to my team & coaches, as well as my studies in the classroom.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Honor Roll recipient, as well as class mentor to students with learning disabilities.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I look at everyday with a Championship mindset. Have always been viewed as a leader on the field and enjoy the brotherhood bonds I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of inside the locker room.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My family has moved quite a bit. I grew up in Tampa, Florida, but have also lived in Pittsburgh, Chicago, Portland and now in Atlanta. I’ve been blessed to have been accepted by so many great friends in each city I’ve lived in. I’ve learned to adapt and accept all cultures in different regions of the country.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’ve been working towards earning a scholarship towards the Division 1 level, FBS or FCS. Preferably located in the Southeast, but not afraid to accept an offer far from home either. Open to all areas of the country.

The 2029 talent will showcase what he can do as a pass catcher, and it’ll be interesting to see how he stands out. One thing about it is, he will be a standout because he’s an ultra-skilled tight end!

Powers brings a great size for the 2029 class and is gradually adding to his frame. He is one of the better players who will be in attendance, and is one of the guys we anticipate moving up the leaderboards. Powers is a player from Hillgrove and will be looking to make a name for himself in the competition, as we will be testing his combine scores and what he does when it comes to the one-on-ones. Powers will set the tone early, being one of the better framed guys, but what will he do on the field? We anticipate him to do very, very well.
