Matt Morrow | Prep Redzone Scout
Grady is one of the true athletes here – I’m not sure what position he’s going to compete in with this camp, but he’s a highly productive player on both sides of the ball. Last season, he had over 500 receiving yards and 10 Touchdowns on offense, and then over 50 tackles and 3 interceptions on defense on top of that. The speed and playmaking ability are impressive, and when you see it happening on both sides of the ball, you have a special player in front of you.

In all honesty, Beam probably should have entered the rankings immediately after his strong season for Hibriten, but he sat on the watchlist until we looked at watchlist DBs. A two-way player, Beam was an electric receiver, with eight touchdowns on 20 catches, and those ball skills translate to the defensive side of the ball, where we think his best playing days are ahead of him.

Beam could reasonably be ranked as a wide receiver after averaging over 20 yards per reception for Hibriten in 2025. Still, we like him best as a versatile defensive back who can line up all over the defense. Hibriten had the biggest turnaround of any team in the state, and Beam was a huge part of that resurgence in 2025. He can win with athleticism, but also with technique and proper positioning.
