There's plenty of talent on our watchlist, and we're breaking down the entire list. In our last rankings update, we saw a host of players who rose after initially being listed on the watchlist. In this spring series, we're evaluating every player on our 2027 watchlist. Who knows? Maybe some of these guys make their mark in the next rankings update. Next up, the defensive backs.

2027 Watchlist Defensive Backs

Editor's Note: If you want more information about how a player ends up on our watchlist, check out my 2027 Edge Rushers Check-In, where I went in-depth on the mechanics behind our watchlist feature.

We're dropping two positions a day this week, one on each side of the ball. Here's every 2027 defensive back on the watchlist.

Cannon School has a bit of a reputation for putting out quality defensive backs, and Ford could be the next. He's a corner, but what really stands out on film is his ability to set the edge against the run, which is somewhat of a lost art in the days of the spread offense.
