Wright’s been on our radar for a while, and his senior results have been outstanding. He’s locking down an entire side of the field for White Oak, thriving in multiple different coverages and techniques. His length and speed allow him to win with his trail technique. As he’s gotten bigger, he’s also gotten more physical, which was a real question mark early in his career.

Keyon’Dre Wright Keyon’Dre Wright 5'10" | 150 lbs | DB/ATH White Oak | 2027 State NC of Swansboro claimed the title of fastest defensive back at the 910 Classic combine, turning in an impressive 4.51-second 40-yard dash. At 5-foot-11 and 150 pounds, Wright showcased the speed and athleticism that make him a dangerous playmaker in the secondary. His ability to cover ground quickly and stay with receivers downfield was evident in his testing numbers, and those traits should translate directly to the field this fall. With a big season ahead for both Wright and Swansboro, expect the rising standout to make plenty of plays and continue building his reputation as one of the area’s top defensive backs.

We’ve been waiting patiently for Wright’s breakout for years, and we nearly added him to the rankings a few times before he actually had the production. Confident it would come, though, we kept him on the watchlist. He’s an explosive athlete with good ball skills, the kind of player who can make an impact in coverage or on special teams.

Wright has been on our radar for a number of years, but a transfer to White Oak helped him break through in 2025. Despite his size, he has great length, and his speed allows him to break on balls when quarterbacks think receivers are open. We expect the ball production to tick up next season in what could be a huge senior year.

Wright is an excellent athlete with a high football I.Q. That allows him to be in position to make plays, despite being a bit undersized. He’s an excellent kick returner and strong tackler on the back end. With some more size and polish, he could turn into an excellent college prospect.
