, older brother to Peter mentioned above. Both Vomvolakis brothers provide two-way ability, both provide exemplary work in the classroom too, with George boasting a 3.75 GPA to date. Over the past Summer, George proved his status by earning his first Division One offer out of Wagner University. While the offer might serve as some validation, the stud RB/DB could be capable of more. George has video of his 28-yard TD run against Stamford this past weekend, proving he still has the blend of toughness and vision to run between the tackles and bouncing one reaching the second level. Would love to watch this young man in person.

Whats been said: December 2022 – He is 5’9”185lbs. He was positioned as a RB for his team this season. He also served as a Football Captain during this season. He has a 3.75 GPA and a honor student. He has a timed speed of 4.6 40yrd. He also plays lacrosse for his school.
During the championship game, he rushed for 152 yards on 21 carries with two touchdowns. One of his touchdowns was for 63 yards in the fourth quarter. His perfromance helped lead his team to victory and clinch the CIAC Class LL State Champsionship. He finishes his runs with power. Shows good vision in the open field. He is a determined runner who will fight for the extra yards.
March 2023 – He is ranked as the #2 running back in Connecticut and also the #10 ranked running back in the New England region. He attends Greenwich H.S.. in Connecticut.
He gets upfield quickly. He has many plays showing him running iso and being untouched to the end zone. His pre-snap field awareness allows him to react to blitzing defenders and make the defender miss with an effective jump cut and explosive burst upfield. Has solid hands coming out of the backfield. He has playmaking abilities and will make something out of nothing. Home run threat each time he touches the ball.
He is getting major jr day invites from IVY League schools. He will see a slew of coaches checking in on him in spring. His recruitment interest will become more clear during the April/Spring evaluation period.
June 2023 – Perhaps one of the most well balanced backs featured during the afternoon, Vomvolakis did a great job representing for his home state of Connecticut and the entire New England region. Vomvolakis was a prospect that did just about a little bit of everything – all of which he did well. Vomvolakis’ speed was stuck in a gear that he was able to repeatedly beat linebackers matched up against him. When as a receiver out of the backfield he ran crips routes and broke them off suddenly which allowed him to get open. Vomvolakis also did a nice job during the run phase of the showcase as well, often being the first to the line-to-gain and showed enough wiggle to make someone miss or create space. Finally, he appears to have a sturdy frame and has an athletic build to withstand being a lead back.
