Continue ReadingThe highest-ranking Greenwich prospect has been for some time now. Currently stands as one of the best prospects in New England without a scholarship offer to his name. Thankfully, his tape and grades have him in position to field phone calls at any given moment. Real interest from Coastal Carolina, Army, more G5s should be in on this kid’s talents. Although Greenwich has started their 2023 Fall campaign, I haven’t been able to dig up much of Vomvolakis since last Fall. His interview will be posted below. Like I’ve stated in previous posts, Peter is a 2025 prospect that has plenty of time to win over coaches in terms of recruiting, it really shouldn’t be a huge focus, putting together phenomenal junior tape is 10x more important at this current time. Thankfully, he’s the easiest and most identifiable prospect one of CIAC’s best programs has to offer.
Highlights
Captain, exemplary production, recently ranked a top 10 senior back in all of New England, we are describing Greenwich’s George Vomvolakis George Vomvolakis 5’9″ | 190 lbs | RB Greenwich | 2024 State New E , older brother to Peter mentioned above. Both Vomvolakis brothers provide two-way ability, both provide exemplary work in the classroom too, with George boasting a 3.75 GPA to date. Over the past Summer, George proved his status by earning his first Division One offer out of Wagner University. While the offer might serve as some validation, the stud RB/DB could be capable of more. George has video of his 28-yard TD run against Stamford this past weekend, proving he still has the blend of toughness and vision to run between the tackles and bouncing one reaching the second level. Would love to watch this young man in person.

A ton of attention goes the way of the Vomvolakis brothers, deservedly so, yet we must mention another prospect, one who might have the brightest immediate future, that being John Insinga John Insinga 6’2″ | 200 lbs | LB Greenwich H.S. Ct. | 2024 State New E . Recently ranked just outside the top 100, Insinga has tape up and ready to watch from the bout against FFP. 6’3, 225, 3.35 GPA, also a captain, Insinga’s Week One tape has him firing off the ball, off the edge on blitzes, connecting with the quarterback thanks to awesome closing speed. TFLS and a sack registered already, yet his ability to read and react on outside zone runs, his ability to clean up tackles after being displaced far outside his pre-snap alignment, these are areas that excite me the most. We bumped Insinga’s rank significantly, yet looking at his Week One performance, maybe the bump wasn’t enough.
Noah Park Noah Park 5’10” | 185 lbs | WR Greenwich | 2026 State New E is a sophomore prospect we identified early in the process. Has a 5-minute freshman tape that I like, yet I’m still intrigued as to what his role might look like this season, so long as he’s earned the trust of the coaching staff. Park displayed what looks like a mixture of JV tape along with some Varsity reps sprinkled in, so I’m out of the loop as to what his current role on the team might look like. We’ll keep our eyes peeled.
This kid might be the beefier counterpart to Insinga in the linebacker room, yet Parra starts off his Week 1&2 tape showing off his abilities downfield. A special interception downfield, a FF downfield too, surprised to see a kid this big be a factor with wideouts 30+ yards away from the LOS. Let’s not get it twisted, however, Sebastian Parra Sebastian Parra 5’10” | 230 lbs | LB Greenwich H.S. Ct. | 2024 State New E ‘s bread and butter stand at reading and reacting to the run, inside out, attacking edges set by EDGE/DEs as the strong side linebacker. A fitting role for a backer who is as powerful as Parra. Great tackling technique, gets behind his pads, and brings his full force, no lunging, no arm tackles from this kid. Ranks just outside the top 150.
A kid on our WL, both a football and a lacrosse prospect. Not much tape to be had dating back to last year, excited to see if any tape drops from this kid, a frequent camper who might be out to make a name for himself. Is a senior currently.
Ranked inside the top 250 among his senior classmates. Has a 50-second clip of his performance against Fairfield Prep. Is a change of pace back that can be coupled next to George Vomvolakis George Vomvolakis 5’9″ | 190 lbs | RB Greenwich | 2024 State New E , one that can be stationed at WR if need be, boasts that kind of athleticism. Caught a 50-yard nine route on tape, as well as a screen. Had a kick returned for a touchdown too, a play where Auguste had the chance to show off his open-field vision and acceleration.
Ranked as a role player but a trustworthy DB deployed by Greenwich. His tape against Stamford has him ready to clean up runs bounced outside, he’s willing to get his facemask a bit dirty if need be. Some reps in coverage too. The game against FFP displayed much of the same. I imagine Aravides is a senior the coaching staff would love to get more out of, while also appreciating his effort both against the run and pass.
Gavyn Gennarelli Gavyn Gennarelli 5’10” | 160 lbs | WR Greenwich | 2024 State New E is a pass-catching option for Greenwich, one who works primarily out of the slot. His short-area quickness and burst off the LOS makes him an obvious weapon to station in the slot. Caught four-five balls against Fairfield Prep, two screens that attempt to make the most of his YAC ability. Also came down with a big score after attacking up the seam. He’ll find his way onto our rankings in the post-season so long as he keeps this up.
