Wyler may not be the biggest quarterback on the field, but he looked every bit the part of a leader in Week 1. He finished 10-of-14 for 286 yards and two touchdowns through the air, while also sneaking in a rushing score. What really stood out was the way he handled adversity — on his very first throw he took a nasty shot, but still was able to get the pass off for six. He stayed calm when pressure came, always knowing where his hot routes were and hitting them on time. And that arm strength? Effortless. The ball just jumps out of his hand. All in all, it was a really lively, confident performance and a strong way to open 2025.

Even when the rush gets home, Wyler stays calm, slides away from pressure, and keeps his eyes downfield like a veteran quarterback.

Wyler is a very impressive young prospect that holds a high football IQ and maturity at his age. Excellent pocket mechanics from footwork, shoulders, eyes, to release with the ability to process the game fast and go through his progression to deliver on-time, accurate throws. I really like his pocket mobility as he shows a terrific understanding of when to climb up, slide, slide up, or escape the pocket and extend plays. He’s flashed the ability to hit all 3 levels of throws and deliver accurate throws on the run- where he’s also showcased his overall arm strength. Don’t overlook him due to his size, as he is a very promising young talent.

Wyler was very impressive as a sophomore as he helped lead BFHS to a 3A semifinal appearance. He did a good job climbing the pocket when facing pressure off the edges to keep his eyes downfield and deliver strikes. Flashed good anticipation as well on those longer developing plays and showed the ability to finesse throws in with touch. Quick release with good timing on most routes/concepts and will only continue to get better. Plus athleticism as well with the ability to extend plays and throw on the run in both directions or pull it down and pick up yards on his feet.
