Winterrowd is one of the more underrated linebacker prospects Las Vegas has to offer. The 5’11″/195 defender checks in as the #13-LB in his class after two solid seasons on the Desert Oasis front-seven. He’s a lean, athletic tackler that flashes his speed and quickness making stops in bunches around the LOS. He packs good lateral range, is quick to diagnose, and does a good job of slipping blocks to make plays on the ball. Winterrowd has picked up several D-III offers in recent months and just took a visit to Doane this past weekend.

Winterrowd put his name on the PRZ radar over the offseason with his productive junior season and a strong performance at the Recruit Nation Las Vegas Showcase in May and has continued to play his way into the official rankings in the coming update. He posted 100+ tackles, 6 sacks, and 19 TFLs as a junior and again leads the Diamondbacks defense into their playoff run. He’s a rangy tackler from his ILB spot that can get sideline to sideline and packs a punch at the LOS. Winterrowd is one of the top senior LBs in the 5A Southern bracket.

Winterrowd is coming off a breakout junior season in 2024. The 5’11″/195 linebacker out of Desert Oasis totaled 100+ tackles, 6 sacks, and 19 TFLs, earning himself first team all-league honors as a junior. He’s a physical defender between the OTs that’s at his best as a downhill attacker where he can utilize his instincts and initial burst to create negative plays in the run game. He’s a solid athlete that can get lateral down the line, is quick to diagnose, and closes on the ball in a hurry. Packs good range and power as a tackler and was a standout performer at the Recruit Nation Las Vegas Showcase back in May. Winterrowd was one of the biggest misses from our offseason rankings cycle but will certainly be in the LB rankings by the end of his senior season.
