Below is a cut-up showcasing Hutz’s best plays. Run stops, PBUs, catches in crucial/clutch situations. Hutz lands as a must-have target for PSAC programs, he’s close to breaking the FCS ceiling too, although we are a bit late into his HS career. Either way, Hutz proved he’s worthy of being invested in at both pass-catcher and DB. I’ll continue to plug his name to ensure he gets the looks he deserves at the next level.

Gavin Hutz Gavin Hutz 5'9" | 160 lbs | WR Father Judge | 2026 State PA is a dynamic wide receiver who can score anytime he touches the ball. I love how he plays as a slot receiver. His ability to get open as a slot receiver is excellent. He does a great job of making plays after he catches the ball by breaking tackles from defenders. He also runs excellent routes. As he gets in and out of breaks well. He also shows a good ability to outjump defenders on 50/50 balls thrown in his direction. Hutz is an outstanding wide receiver who has the skills to be even better this season.

Currentlty on our Watch list, Hutz is going to shoot up our board despite the lack of junior tape on his Hudl.

I’ve gone on record via Twitter stating that I didn’t witness this young man lose a rep. Working against a fantastic DB group, Hutz was absolutely unguardable. Jontai Quick Jontai Quick 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR/DB Bishop McDevitt | 2027 State PA and Howard Holton wowed a bit more in terms of rep performance, yet I have to state again, Hutz was lights out. Two college coaches informed me before indis that Hutz was one to take note of, I applaud their pre-camp work/digging, because they were spot on.

Explosive releases startled DB aligned across Hutz. I’m not sure if DBs just didn’t take him seriously or not, yet Hutz would get DBs leaning and on their heels within a second of his release. An early winner, well-seasoned in all things route running. Hutz proved he had an understanding of when to round off cuts to maintain speed, or when to drop his hips and explode out of 90-degree cuts. Excellent head-faker, excellent use of jab steps and stabs. Understands how to stem to get open.

This is a special player, one who I hope gets recognition before his senior year begins. I’ll be on the hunt to do just that.
