Gurley is a top Oklahoma QB who made the trip to Colorado to compete. He did not disappoint! Gurley demonstrated his athletic ability throughout the drills and took it to another level during competition. Gurley has controlled footwork with a smooth drop back. You can see the confidence as he throws. Very good flick of the wrist release with a powerful arm. Smooth, fluid, and tight spiral. Very good ball placement and accuracy throughout. He consistently made plays with his receivers. Throwing it in stride, or above for the contested catch. Gurley stayed patient with his reads finding the open man. Loved watching him play. He’s a must know prospect and already garnering attention from P4 schools as a freshman.

is another 2029 name where it feels like only a matter of time before he has that breakout moment under the Friday night lights. Gurley backed up a three-year starter at Ada during his freshman year but he’s in line to take over a very explosive Ada offense. Gurley went up to our PRZ camp in Missouri and performed incredibly well. He’s registered to participate in our Oklahoma camp this weekend. This will be our first chance to really watch Gurley in person. But everything we’ve seen on film and talking with our other PRZ writers, Gurley has the makings for being a breakout player in the near future. His ability as a pure passer has impressed but there’s also another side of him where he’s athletic, quick on his feet and his a weight room warrior so strength is not going to be an issue.

These young signal callers really showed their stuff last Sunday.
Another strong armed young signal caller Gabe Gurley has now established himself among the prep redzone world. Gabe is only a Freshman, but he handles himself as a quarterback that is much older. He showed up at camp determined to show the world that he is one of the hardest working quarterbacks in attendance.
Gurley’s mechanics are top notch showing a quick release and advanced footwork. The ball pops off his right hand, and he showed the ability to hit every throw that he was asked to make by the coaches.
Everyone keep an eye on this young man, he’s on a mission.
