About Frank

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Smart and aggressive. Able to close distance quickly on a ball carrier. Makes good reads and can predict snap counts. Covers receivers well and can adjust to a scrambling quarterback.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I love the game and it shows on the field. I get really amped up when I make a big play, which injects excitement on our sidelines. I don't hang my head if I make a mistake and am also encouraging my teammates to do the same. I celebrate them when they make a play.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Mount Vernon High School Chapter of the American Red Cross

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am definitely the hype guy on my defensive unit. When I make a play, I like to get my guys fired up.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I love being underrated.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like to look into schools that offer a good business program, cybersecurity, or land surveying. I'd love to go to a D1 FCS school!

A lot to like about Mount Vernon sophomore class and linebacker Frank Genkinger Frank Genkinger Frank Genkinger 6'0" | 200 lbs | LB/LS Mt. Vernon | 2027 State VA looks like a keeper. While playing mainly JV ball as a freshman Genkinger was a beast for the Majors and should fill in nicely at the varsity level. 5’11 and growing Mount Vernon could really use him defensively to slow down some high powered offenses they face right out of the gate.
