About Francis
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I would describe my gameplay style as aggressive, as I try to use my strength to overpower my opponents. Technically, I prefer using moves like a chop-rip to get inside and eventually around them.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am extremely driven and determined to achieve my goals in life. I am intelligent, witty, and funny as well as an overall team player. I definitely have room to improve on and off the field, but I am working towards my goals as a player and a person to become a better version of myself.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I volunteer regularly at my school and I have numerous math, social studies, and overall achievement awards. I am a part of the Page High Track team and do well there as well with a 109 discus and a 33 shot.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I believe leadership, teamwork, and community service all go together. Being a student athlete I learned that above all else if you stay committed and disciplined you will achieve your goals. My work ethic and character has always been to support and help the entire team.
By working together and raising everyone up we achieve more. I am loyal to the team, and encourage them to do our best.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Yes, I have faced an age disadvantage playing football, I am the youngest player in the grade and go up against guys with a age gap of 2-3 years on me. It is tough but it prepares me and I give them a good look on scout. My dad up until recently had a kidney disease and had dialysis but now has a transplanted kidney which enables me to focus more on my football goals.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college to help me pursue my academic dreams while encouraging my football career. I want to play at the D1 level, but would choose any college that fits me both academically and athletically. I see college as an extension of HS, where it is the next step in pursuit of my career path and goals, where I can learn and grow as a player and a person.
