Oh boy I am excited to watch Gar Field play next fall, between Barlay, Quack Freeman and stud linebacker Erik Nelson Erik Nelson 6'0" | 200 lbs | LB Gar-Field | 2027 State VA the Red Wolves should be playoff bound again. Nelson had an excellent junior season that earned him all district honors coming off a knee injury. He looks more fluid and healthy this offseason and his coverage skills are on point too. He is very smart in the middle of the Red Wolves defense. Playing for the Get back Gang this past weekend, I did not see him give up any passes over the middle.

Back healthy and leading the Red Wolves defense once again is linebacker Erik Nelson Erik Nelson 6'0" | 200 lbs | LB Gar-Field | 2027 State VA . Before a knee injury wiped out his sophomore season, Nelson was already known as a mean old school linebacker amongst Prince William County residents. He was a second team all district selection as a freshman and now late in his junior year he appears worthy of more honors. Nelson is fast and fearless to the football, watch his closing speed on some of these tackles below.

Back healthy and motivated, Erik Nelson Erik Nelson 6'0" | 200 lbs | LB Gar-Field | 2027 State VA will look to regain his prior injury form in the middle of the Red Wolves defense. Previously in the 2027 top 20 rankings, unfortunately Nelson tore his ACL before last season so hence why you see the slight drop. Seeing him up close this off-season and talking with Coach I can tell he is ready for a bounce back. Nelson when healthy is one of the best linebackers in the state as he proved two years ago.

The 16th ranked prospect out of 2027 class linebacker Erik Nelson Erik Nelson 6'0" | 200 lbs | LB Gar-Field | 2027 State VA is a good one. The praise has been reaped heavy already here is what I wrote last month:
