Great job processing plays, staying in good flow with OL keys on pulls.  While scraping, he does a good job staying square and clean with agility to avoid oncoming blockers.  Offensively, as the wildcat QB and traditional RB, Munson does a good job finding the hole and hitting it hard, running fierce with a good forward lean.  My favorite play of Munson’s is a headsy punt return TD, in which he picked up a bouncing punt against a sleeping Kennedy HS for 6.

Munson was the definition of a Swiss Army knife. Through the air, he completed 37 of 71 passes for 680 yards (52.1%) and five touchdowns. He was a workhorse on the ground, rushing for 1,214 yards on 143 carries, averaging 8.7 yards per carry with seven 100-yard games and 12 rushing touchdowns. Oh, and he also caught 15 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns. Few players in the state matched his versatility.

Munson’s explosiveness made him a nightmare for offenses, finishing with 61 tackles and 35 solo. He lived in the backfield with eight tackles for loss and three sacks, showing an uncanny ability to disrupt plays before they started. Add in a QB hurry and a pass breakup; his versatility made him invaluable.

Munson is a true gamechanger with the ability to impact both sides of the ball. As a quarterback, he thrives in an option/wildcat scheme, using his vision to find running lanes and making defenders miss in the open field. His acceleration allows him to pick up big gains, keeping defenses on edge. On defense, he plays with a relentless motor, shooting gaps quickly to bring down ball carriers before they can break free. His ability to shed blocks and disrupt plays makes him a player that offenses must account for at all times. Munson’s versatility and playmaking ability make him a key player heading into the next season.

Munson can play it all, the athlete played as RB, QB, and LB. During this time, Munson led all junior 3A players in rushing. 143 carries for 1248 yards and 12 touchdowns, 15 receptions for 219 yards and 2 touchdowns, 37/71 for 680 yards and 5 TDs, 6 INT, 61 total tackles (35 solo, 26 assisted), 8 TFL, 3 sacks, 1 FF. He is everywhere. Majority of the time when he was lined up as QB, he’d be a rusher, however he can take it and throw it. Very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, balance, good speed, and change of direction. Munson has very good vision as a running back to identify holes and maneuver through the defense. As a linebacker, he uses that same skill to ID gaps and rush leading to a TFL. He has good catching out of the backfield too. Once he gets lose, Munson uses his homerun speed to create big gains. He is a very exciting prospect that should have colleges salivating at the mouth with his versatility.

Munson completed 5 of 7 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown while adding 141 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on 14 carries. His ability to escape pressure, make defenders miss, and turn upfield for big gains made him a nightmare for opposing defenses. Munson’s explosiveness in the open field and his knack for extending plays will be key for Pomona’s offense moving forward. Look for him to remain a focal point in the next round.

Munson is a player that has versatility and skill. He is an athlete who can excel at any skill position on the offensive side of the ball. Whether he is taking snaps at QB, lining up at WR or stepping into his primary role as RB, Munson’s ability to adapt and perform at a high level makes him a name to know this season. His agility, speed and football IQ make him an asset for his team this year.
