AL
is an up-and-coming QB from Pleasant Grove who’s starting to get noticed this offseason.
“Hooper is a quick processor with the ball who can create on and off-rhythm plays as a passer. He’s great at getting rid of the ball quickly, sees the field well, and can deliver accurate passes all over the field.
Hooper has some serious arm talent. He can make some really impressive throws on the move while rolling to his left and right, and has great ball placement and touch on his passes downfield. I’m excited to see what the future holds with Hooper- he’s already shown a ton of natural talent early in his career.”
Hooper added an offer from North Alabama the other day, and so early in his career, I think it’s safe to say he’ll be a popular player in the 2029 class.
Take a look at some of Hooper’s clips from last fall below:

Elston left the state but will be back next season and will return to Mountain Ridge. He is a signal caller with a good arm and is a quick processor. He shows good ball placement and leads his receivers open. He moves well within the pocket and shows good pocket navigation. Elston has an exceptional ceiling, and it’ll be interesting to see the growth when he returns from Hawaii. He has all the tools to be a Power-Four starter.

Hooper is our prediction for Region 2 Offensive Player of the Year. Yes, it’s a bold prediction, and he has to win the job, but Hooper has all the tools you want to see in an elite recruit. He will be a Power-Four athlete, and his overall skill set is the best in the QB room. He will be a name that people will know soon enough.

Hooper is an elite prospect. He has a good frame and should fill into it nicely. It’s likely that he starts the season on Thursday nights, but I would not be surprised after a slow start in August, that he gets asked to suit up in September and if Mountain Ridge starts the season slow, and the offense is stagnant, that they pull the trigger and insert their dynamic freshman and give him the keys to the kingdom. He has a quick delivery, showcases good arm talent, throws a good deep ball, a tight spiral that is friendly to receivers, and his ball placement is precise. He is set up to potentially see varsity reps and be the guy next season with at least three years of varsity film. He’s a Power-Four athlete.

Hooper has a good frame and should get to about 6’3 and over 200 lbs. He has great mechanics, a quick throwing motion, makes off-platform plays, and the ball has great zip. Hooper throws a tight spiral, has great ball placement, and can make every throw. He’s a player who will be a Power-Four starter. Great upside.
