McGaskin had another huge year, racking up 146 total tackles (95 solo, 25 for loss), 2.5 sacks, one INT, and 3 forced fumbles.

McGaskin went off this week, recording 13 total tackles (10 solo, .5 sack) and two fumble recoveries.

After a terrific first year last fall, McGaskin has followed it up excellently in his sophomore year. So far this season McGaskin has recorded 73 total tackles (34 solo, 14 for loss), 2 sacks. 3 pass breakups and one forced/recovered fumble. Through the first quarter of the season McGaskin has played extremely well and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. With how well he’s played McGaskin has picked up offers from Ohio State, Michigan, Auburn, and plenty of other top tier programs. Be sure to tune in and watch McGaskin this season, he’s a super talented prospect that’s been playing like one of the best in the nation!

Ellis McGaskin Ellis McGaskin LB Williamson | 2027 State AL is an athletic linebacker with an explosive first step, often getting to the quarterback on blitzes. He’s a sure tackler, wrapping up ball carriers with precision and force. His coverage skills are developing well, showing good anticipation in zone coverage. He uses his speed and agility to close in on plays, limiting yards after contact. McGaskin’s versatility allows him to be effective in both run defense and pass coverage.

Ellis McGaskin Ellis McGaskin LB Williamson | 2027 State AL has established himself as one of the best 2027 defenders in Alabama, and for good season. He brings overwhelming speed and tremendous upside to the table. His 0-60 speed is phenomenal, quickly finding his top gear and using it to slip between gaps and thump ball carriers. He creates plenty of downhill momentum and doesn’t stop when he makes contact. On tape, he hits hard enough to instantly drop ball carriers and rattle helmets. His speed translates laterally, allowing him to do patrol work sideline to sideline. McGaskin is only going to get bigger and faster, meaning his dominance will continue going forward. He should and likely will get a crack at the P4 level.
