Exline takes great angles to ballcarriers, has good pursuit and range, and is very instinctive. He is a very good defender inside the box. Flashes good downfield coverage on deep routes with ability to cover and carry. Recorded eight total tackles in Week 2 and keeps backing it up with strong performances. Had a good spring when I saw him in-person.

From his perch at safety, Exline flashes great closing speed and good range. He is very instinctive and a great open-field tackler, strong in coverage and displays good timing with his hands to break up passes.

Exline has been phenomenal this year for Avon and proving to be a key part of their defense. He understands the game and what he needs to do on the backend. He’s not one to get greedy and try to get the pick, yet he will when the opportunity comes. He’s as reliable as anyone when you need a tackle in an open space to be made. On the year so far he’s put up over 30 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 2 passes deflected. While he’s still young and learning, he’s on the field and playing with confidence which is what you want.
