Ewetade has the rare distinction of being a proven pass-rusher with plenty of untapped potential. Simply put, his 15 sacks over the last two years are excellent and he’s long, athletic, and quick, with plenty of yet unrealized upside. So, the Notre Dame commit is giving the Fighting Irish not only a proven player, but a guy the staff can work with to make even better. Ewetade has worked hard to rework his body and could still add 15-20 pounds in a college weight room.

Ewetade’s goal since he got to South Garner was to add strength and continue to evolve his game. A promising sophomore season turned into a great junior season. When we rank off potential, we’re often looking for the production to accompany it before moving guys further up the list. After a 10-sack season, Ewatade fully has our attention and could be an early contributor at Notre Dame.

Ewetade’s upside is tremendous, with a long reach and fantastic bend accompanying a developing pass-rushing set. He typically wins on pure speed and a great get-off now, but he’s adding plenty of good muscle, indicating he should be able to develop a power move in the future. He’s raw, having picked up football more recently than most of his peers, but his length, speed, and get-off are tantalizing for big schools.

Ewatade is impressive. He’s long, explosive, and a bit raw, which gives him significant upside, as he’s already a productive edge rusher. He had 28 tackles for loss and 10 sacks in 2024, despite facing plenty of rush-heavy attacks. As he continues to add good weight, he’s only going to get better.

Ewetade is raw and he’ll need to continue to put on weight. However, his length and bend around the edge are awesome, giving him huge pass-rushing upside. When I saw him in practice this offseason I was amazed at his length and quickness, with a first step that is rare for guys that tall. He’s able to move him body in sync and he’s a fluid mover at his height.
