Millard West’s Easton Loftin Easton Loftin 6'3" | 215 lbs | DL Millard West | 2028 State NE is another player gearing up for a big year in the trenches. Easton gave the Wildcat faithful a lot to look forward to this fall after tallying 17 tackles, seven TFLs, and a team-leading four sacks despite only playing in six games. When watching Easton’s tape, my biggest takeaway was that his motor is always running red-hot as he was constantly working his hands and pumping his legs. Loftin has a well-rounded skill set that makes him effective as both a pass rusher and a run defender. When pressuring the QB, he displays a solid get-off with good bend around the edge and can really use his length to extend to make strong initial contact when jabbing at blockers. When he keys in on the run, Easton’s strong base allows him to anchor down, set the edge, and force runs back inside. Solid closing speed and the already-mentioned tireless motor allow him to get to the ball carrier or QB and make splash plays at/behind the line of scrimmage. He has been hard at work this offseason, so we should expect to see a fired-up, bigger, stronger Easton this fall!
