Expert Analysis
Hudson Cregg | Prep Redzone Scout
E.J. is an impressive running back for Ensworth who holds offers from UT Martin, East Tennessee, and Eastern Kentucky, to name a few. He displays good vision, follows his blockers, and can make defenders miss with sharp cuts. To add on, he has solid contact balance, is able to stay on his feet after getting hit, and can break arm tackles consistently. His strength at his size is impressive; he throws a nasty stiff arm and can run you over. I view him as a two-down back who needs to improve in the pass game and his long speed.

Read EvaluationConner Smith | Prep Redzone Scout
Ensworth’s EJ Gibson is coming off a terrific junior season, where he rushed for 1,614 yards and 20 touchdowns, earning All-Midstate honors and being a Mr. Football candidate.
He’s an impressive player who possesses all the physical tools and polished skills to be a good player at the next level, but still has another year of high school ball. I expect him to have a monster senior season.
