The Rockets may not have the season they hoped for, but they do have a talented young group that should help make the jump in 2025. One player who should emerge from that group is incoming senior Drew Van Dyke Drew Van Dyke 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR/DB Lincoln Northeast | 2026 NE who recorded 145 receiving yards, a receiving touchdown, 32 tackles, three interceptions (one returned for a TD), and a fumble recovery. I like Drew’s upside on offense as a bigger receiver at 6’2″, 180 pounds who can use his size to be physical and attack the ball at the catch point. He flashed strong hands and the ability to turn upfield to tack on additional yardage after the catch. I also think Van Dyke could get some looks at DB, where he has the length and frame that fits what collegiate coaches covet in modern days. Playing safety, Drew does a great job seeing the entire field and has the range to cover from sideline-to-sideline. Good instincts and fluidity make him at both coverage and in run support. Definitely someone to start monitoring now!
