Dalton High School defensive back Drayden Gazaway Drayden Gazaway 5'9" | 190 lbs | DB/WR Dalton | 2029 GA has taken a massive step forward. We had the chance to see this while he was in attendance for our Prep Redzone Winter Showcase, and he has been one of the better players when it comes to his level changes. Drayden’s speed allows him to be used in many different sports, but it seems his future will either be in the slot or at safety. His man coverage is very impressive as well, and will be something to closely monitor in 2026. Make sure you keep an eye on Gazaway this season.

Drayden Gazaway Drayden Gazaway 5'9" | 190 lbs | DB/WR Dalton | 2029 GA is a player who was recently put on the map during the offseason, as he is a young player with a lot to like at the safety position. He has done a great job when it comes to developing his speed, and is one of the better players in the state when it comes to man coverage. I look for him to continue to grow his frame and become a top-end defensive back, which is where I see his future. His man coverage allows him to show his true ability to lock down players in one of the best divisions in the state of Georgia.

He is fast and quick, which is needed for his position group. Thanks to the growth he has had this offseason, the talented prospect will likely have more reps to work with in the next season. I believe he will be the biggest X-Factor on this roster, and he has the chance to become a great player as long as he gets the opportunity to prove his worth. Gazaway is one I am paying attention to.

Gazaway was one of the players I viewed as a young guy with a lot of potential in Dalton. Gazaway is in the 2029 class with the chance to break through this offseason. I believe he has top performer potential, which is something that we will monitor closely, as he competes against some of the better defensive backs in the state.
