Barjona is a dual threat that possesses a ton of big play potential both through the air and on the ground. Impressive toughness all around and does a great job of knowing when to hang in the pocket and deliver a throw vs when to escape and extend plays, as play #1 on his film really emphasize that toughness. Really good eyes and placement on those intermediate throws to drive the ball into tight windows with velocity (1:27 mark on film). Love his ability to extend plays as he does a great job keeping his eyes downfield to anticipate scramble/levels concepts, but also flashes excellent twitch and change or direction to become an immediate threat when he takes off, and possesses good top end speed as well.

Efficient passing performance for Barjona leading Williams Field to the 39-36 upset victory over Pinnacle. Completed 19 of 24 attempts for 221 yards and three touchdowns. Showed good pocket movement to avoid the rush and the ability to throw on the run with accuracy. Hit his spots to all three levels of the field in tight windows and in stride allowing his receivers to run after the catch.

This kid impresses me more and more each time I watch him play. I found myself fully locked into that game whenever he had the ball in his hands. Barjona carried himself with calm rhythm, his feet matching the concept, setting, hitching, and ripping without wasted motion. He didn’t hunt for hero throws, instead putting the ball where he wanted, hitting rhythm outs and layering intermediates while trusting his receivers to do the rest. His confidence to test windows without forcing bad throws shows a maturity that jumps off the screen, and he’s incredibly calm back there, mixing in some surprising zip for a quarterback his size. The offense looked easy because he made it easy — efficient, clean, and on time. That’s the kind of quarterbacking that keeps an OC fearless on early downs and turns second‑and‑long into second‑and‑manageable, and it’s the type of efficiency that travels.

Barjona’s stock has been rising as of late with strong performances at the spring showcase and at the Arizona 7on7 tournament. 5’10” 165 lbs. the position comes very naturally to him with a dual threat skillset and a high football IQ. As a passer, he flashes smooth arm action with an over the top delivery that is quick and compact to get the ball out on time. He’s able to mix up velocity and layer it over second level defenders with good ball placement skills and touch. Also able to drive a one ball into a tight window with precision. Shows great feel and awareness for oncoming pressure and secondary movement to anticipate his throws. Doesn’t possess the biggest frame but is able to push the ball vertically with accuracy. Love his ability to evade the rush with his eyes downfield to create second chance throwing lanes. A plus athlete that is a threat as a ball carrier on both designed runs and broken plays. A lot to like going into this junior year with a lot of weapons around him.

helped lead Williams Field to the title, and it didn’t take long to see why. Early on, he dropped a couple of absolute dimes downfield — those kinds of throws that make you perk up and go, “Wait, who’s that?” But what really made it stick was how he kept doing it. It wasn’t just a few flashy moments — he was sharp from start to finish. Short game, deep game, didn’t matter. He was throwing with precision all over the field. And the confidence he plays with makes him all the more dangerous. He wasn’t forcing things, but he also wasn’t afraid to rip it into tight coverage. Even though he’s not the biggest guy out there, he uses his lower half really well to generate power and put some heat on the ball. You could tell he’s been putting in real work. I didn’t come in expecting to be blown away by him, but by the end of the night, he was the main name stuck in my head.

Barjona is a highly efficient quarterback who excels at making quick decisions and delivering accurate passes. He’s got a smooth throwing motion and can deliver the ball with great touch and precision. He’s got dual-threat ability as he’s not afraid to tuck the ball and run when the pocket collapses. Standing at only 5-foot-9, 140-pound, Barjona has room to grow.
