Omaha North’s Dominic Yancy Dominic Yancy 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB/DB Omaha North | 2028 State NE is one of the more intriguing players in this recruiting cycle, possessing the athleticism to play several different positions, but will look to rise as a QB prospect. Dominic had a small sample size as a sophomore, with 64 pass attempts (62% completion) and 505 yards and eight touchdowns. He is also a threat on the ground with 26 carries for 145 yards and a touchdown. Dominic didn’t waste any time this offseason, spending a lot of time working on his throwing mechanics to achieve a smoother, more efficient release. He shows good poise in the pocket and can work his way through his progressions as he looks for open targets. Strong arm to get the ball deep downfield or when looking to rifle it into tight windows. Good footwork and pocket mobility when avoiding pressure. Keep an eye on this rising dual-threat to have a breakout year if he wins the Vikings’ QB1 spot!

Omaha North’s Dominic Yancy Dominic Yancy 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB/DB Omaha North | 2028 State NE is one of the more interesting players in this class with a versatile skillset that could lead him to play a number of positions. He got on the field sparingly as a freshman and had some great reps at defensive back, flashing the speed and fluidity to hold his own in coverage. Yancy plays with loose hips and shifty footwork as he sticks to his receiver’s hip pocket. Good timing and usage of his hands. Yancy also had spent some time at receiver and could see a rise in touches depending on how the Vikings’ depth chart shakes out. Omaha North is known for producing next-level talent, and Dominic looks like another can’t-miss guy to watch in these upcoming seasons.
