Dominic should earn Division 3 attention this offseason. It’s a little tricky because he’s more of a swiss army knife. In addition, he doesn’t quite have the size to be a D2 prospect.
Still- Dominic is an absolute sparkplug. Brings the energy, hypes up his team, and makes a good number of plays too. A ton of highlights where Dominic goes unblocked off the edge. With that comes good-looking athleticism and consistently good pursuit.
Though Dominic plays mostly on-ball, and most camps have linebackers play off-ball. I’m interested in seeing how Dominic performs this offseason, and I’m even more interested in seeing who extends an offer. My gut says he’ll find success earning D3 offers, especially because he seems like such an amazing locker room guy- which is way more valuable than most would expect.

From the moment I walked into the stadium, Dominic made his presence known.
Throughout warm-ups and the entire first half, Dominic was extremely high-energy. I watched as Dominic made the most of every warm-up, walkthrough rep, etc. I could tell that his vocal leadership was felt throughout the entire team.
In-game, Dominic played just as fast. I taped several all-22 plays. In nearly all of those, Dominic fired off the ball extremely quickly, dodged blocks, and tackled anyone who may have had the football. Now, his EDGE/OLB role against the Seaholm offense is pretty unconventional, so this game was a little difficult to get a good report (I will be watching more Groves games after the season)
My gut tells me that Dominic 100% deserves D3 offers, at the very least. Unmatched energy, explosive, knows how to avoid blocks, and a great tackler.

Groves always has an extremely strong front 7, and this year,

is doing WORK as an on-ball OLB/EDGE player.
The tale of the tape is effort. Time and time again, you see high-effort and explosive plays from Dominic. The highlight at 1:11, in particular, showcases his speed off the edge and ability to rush the passer against slow offensive linemen. At 1:55, Dom runs free off the stunt and lays a very quick hit on the quarterback. He also has a few off-ball highlights, but Dominic undoubtedly does his best work on-ball. He’s a very good athlete, and I’m looking forward to watching him the rest of the season in addition to this offseason.
