I appreciate his persistence in tagging me in his weekly highlights. He recorded 12 tackles last week, three of which went for a loss, after posting 11 tackles and one tackle for loss the week prior. He is progressively getting better with each passing week, and the production continues to rise along with it.

A completely new name to our database, he is currently on the watch list and will be reviewed at the end of the season for a potential ranking. The size is intriguing, but I’m even more excited to see his level of production continue to increase week in and week out.

Great vision through traffic is the first thing that stands out on tape. He can sniff out blockers and identify where they are intending to lead a back, often getting to the hole before those blockers can. He is a disruptor, a pesky linebacker with a real feel for rushing lanes. He is often aligned between the B gaps presnap and definitely looks comfortable as an inside linebacker. I’d like to see him in person or in a camp setting to learn more.

Great first impression made by Bangora out of Academy Park High School, who is currently unranked. He tagged me in a tape where he played linebacker very well against Unionville High School, recording 11 tackles with one going for a loss. Bangora looks comfortable aligning presnap between the B gaps and shows an impressive ability to read and react against runs out of the gun.

He also saw some time at tight end in a chip and release role, and I love seeing that potential versatility at this stage. One of my favorite reps featured Bangora spying the quarterback, subtly dropping into his zone while keeping his eyes on the quarterback, his feet moving laterally and his agility underneath him. When the quarterback eventually left the pocket and tried to pick up yards himself, Bangora stayed with him throughout the play. Good Mike linebacker play here and a strong first impression from an unranked prospect.

Key Stats: 11 Tackles, 1 Tackle for loss
