The Hornets have a pretty good track record when it comes to producing defensive backs and while Overstreet might be flying under the radar right now, he has the tools to be the guy to come out of the 2025 class. The senior has had a terrific offseason and we got a chance to see him in person a handful of times in various 7v7 tournaments. Overstreet is a long and rangy cornerback that does a great job of staying on a receiver’s hip and he also had a knack for making big plays. This could be a big season for Overstreet.

has had a strong offseason from the times that we saw him playing on the 7v7 circuit. He was one of the better cover cornerbacks that we watched at various 7v7 tournaments and he’s carried that momentum into the spring and summer. The new coaches at Booker T Washington are very high on his potential to be that lockdown cornerback in the Booker T Washington defense. And it’s not exactly a secret that the Hornet football program produces high level defensive backs and Overstreet could be the next name to watch. His ceiling keeps getting higher and higher.

is the first of two standouts from Booker T Washington on Saturday. Overstreet was outstanding at the cornerback position throughout the day on Saturday when we were watching. He made multiple pass breakups and he’s continuing to build on his solid offseason. Overstreet was one of the top performers in our Prep Redzone 7v7 tournament at the beginning of March. It’s hard to really stand out strictly for the defensive side of the ball in 7v7 tournaments. But Overstreet made it look easy at times on Saturday. He had a solid performance and is a name to watch.

had one of the more clutch performances during bracket play on Sunday. In the championship game, TheUNIT was holding on to their lead and Level Up was driving with time running out. Overstreet would stay right on his receiver’s hip on a crossing route and he slid in front and made a game-ending interception. Overstreet is going to be a name to watch moving forward. He made plenty of plays this weekend but it’s hard to argue anyone else made a bigger play with more on the line than Overstreet as the game went down the stretch.
