DeCarlos is key player for the Pumas on both sides of the ball, playing RB & LB. He racked up awards last fall, getting 1st team all state, County Off Player of the Year, and 4A Player of the Year. With over 1400 total yards, 27 TDs, 50 total tckls and 15.5 tfls last season, Young is a key piece to this championship winning team. DeCarlos committed to Temple over the summer after holding over 16 total offers.

A thick build, strong, physical player with deceptive speed, he is capable of making big play after big play. Saw him live take a KR to the house against CH Flowers in their big rivalry game last season. He took it up the middle and ran by everyone in what was pretty much the game changing play for Wise to get the win that game. Temple is looking at him as RB for the next level and he should be able to be an impact player for them. With his low center of gravity, nimble feet and combo of power/explosiveness when he runs, there is versatility in his game. At LB, Young hits like a ton of bricks and flies to ball with violence. A strong tackler and the ability to get downhill as well as sideline to sideline, DeCarlos can get it done as a LB as well. He will be a major factor in Wise returning to the state finals as he does so much on both sides of the ball.
