About Dax

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

True dual-threat quarterback running an option-based offense. Comfortable throwing on the move and extending plays.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Natural leader that is comfortable in high pressure situations. Will find a way to win.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Wolf of Excellence winner, FCA member, Superintendent’s Honor Roll.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I feel I’ve developed all three. I’ve developed leadership by just being a natural leader, like an instinct. That leadership ranges from leading in a school project to leading the football team. I have teamwork qualities just by believing it and doing it. Doing what’s best for the team, etc. I give back to the community by helping the kids in it, in any way I can.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Taking over as a starting quarterback in the middle of the season freshman year. Playing 7 of 8 games with a broken hand.

What type of college are you looking for?

We don’t know what Davis standout Dax Owens Dax Owens Dax Owens 5'11" | 190 lbs | ATH Davis | 2027 State OK projects to at the next level but we know that he’s a winner and he should be playing at the next level. He runs the Davis option offense to perfection and led the Wolves to a state title as a sophomore. This season, the Wolves are throwing the ball more and Owens is showcasing the arm quite a bit. Now, Owens might not have as high of a ceiling as a quarterback prospect but we can envision him playing several different positions at a very high level. Owens also has the Wolves right back in the mix for the state title hunt this season. He’s a big game player that’s capable of breaking a big play on almost every snap.
