There’s a very fair argument (I even had it with myself) that

could probably be labeled as an ATH with his skill set, and nobody would blink twice. However, after standing out with the Tennessee Future Stars as a Linebacker, this works. Built like a Running Back/Strong Safety type, he’s extremely fast to the ball and comes with bad intentions.

The combination of the 8th Grade Tennessee Future Stars Defensive Line dominating like it did, mixed with the Kentucky Future Stars playing from behind the entire game and needing to throw, didn’t leave many scraps for the Linebackers to feast on. However,

In full disclosure, I think of Morton as more of a Running Back than a Linebacker at this point. Nonetheless, the All-Conference selectee had a strong season in 2024, as he ripped through the Upper Cumberland Conference. Mr. Morton is a tough athletic freak. Yes, all those adjectives go together. Before he does a flip into in your end zone to celebrate, he’s going to put the majority of your defense on roller skates. This kid is super fast and displays patience when needed. It looks as if he sees things before it happens. That’s called anticipation and then his reaction time is insane. Good luck slowing him down when he pads on more muscle next year.
