About Darryl

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my play style as an aggressor and versatile receiver .I make incredible blocks for my teammates by putting the defense on their backs.I can make very contested catches and I fight for jump balls.I also can out run my opponents on deep balls

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to be The Truth everyday.Whether that’s from being the truth in the weight room,field,etc.Being the truth isn’t just two words it’s a way of life that everyone should live by.Being the truth means walking your truth everyday regardless of anyone’s opinion.Its a choice to be who you want to be.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I received an honor roll award throughout my entire grammar school and middle school experience and I will continue in highschool

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

At an early age my school teachers always said I was a social butterfly and a natural born leader.This year we had community service hours so the Mount Carmel freshman can help the earth.I led my group deep in the Dan Ryan woods to collect trash.My group ended up having the most trash picked up out of any Dan Ryan group.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The one challenge I faced in life is myself.Growing up I was never the best player on my team.I was second best from Basketball to football.Up until the summer going into my freshman I was ok with mediocrity.Then I looked inside myself and made a promise to never be second again.I work everyday towards my goal of not being second.

What type of college are you looking for?

I don’t have a preference for any college.I am grateful to god to send any blessings my direction.
