Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A talented Atlanta-area back in the 2027 class, White shares the carries at Newton and is coming off a really impressive regular season this fall as a junior. He’s strong enough to run through tackles, but it’s his impressive breakaway speed that was on full display this season. The promising back ran for 875 yards and 13 touchdowns this season and he’s playing his very best at the right moment. During Newton’s round one win over Peachtree Ridge, White ran for an eye-opening 152 yards and three touchdowns in their 33-14 victory. He also ran for 187 yards and three touchdowns the game prior to that. Look for White to continue running hard this weekend during a round two game against Buford.

A Dekalb County back flying under the radar, White was one of the more productive backs in the county last year and did it as a sophomore, rushing for 1,012 yards and 17 touchdowns. He ran for at least 100 yards in four games and ran for a touchdown in every game but two. He brings his best every time he has the ball and was a consistent weapon all season long. His best came early in the 2024 season when he ran for 141 yards and four touchdowns against Greater Atlanta Christian. He’ll be an easy addition to the next 2027 Prep Redzone rankings this summer.

Nicknamed “Hercules”, White became a social media superstar this past season with him straight up abusing defensive players trying to bring down the 5-foot-8, 190-pound running back with verified 4.4 electronic speed in the forty. In a backfield full of future P5 football players on the Georgia Future Stars team, he continued to stick out. Already holding an offer from Arkansas ahead of the event, he picked up an offer from UAB during the Future Stars week. On top of what he does as a ball carrier, I watched him give the same effort as a blocker in passing situations, easily picking up anyone who got through.

The rocked-up running back picked up his second offer in as many years with the Georgia Future Stars program. Last year Arkansas came calling after a good performance at the event, and this year it was UAB that became the latest program to offer for the 5-foot-7, 185-pound strapped back. Not much difference from last year, still the same thick, fast, all-around back that any program in the country would welcome as a freshman.

has unapologeticly goated himself. During last years game, Arkansas made sure to pull the trigger early to back up this idea of White possibly being the #1 RB in Georgia in his class. Scratch that! The nation? I’m hard pressed not to second that motion. In my evaluation, he is a true running back. Vision, power, balance, and speed comes easy. He is among the fastest in the nation and once you put a football in his arms, you will NOT catch him. There is no cloud of dust with him, because he will leave you in it. That’s not even the thing that sticks out to me the most. I love watching him set up blocks and have body control to and through the point of contact of any defender. White is two steps ahead of the competition the way he sees the field, and each move is deliberate. Most backs at this level react.

anticipates and knows when to react. There is a difference. Another overlooked attribute is ball security. Yes sounds simple, but he distorts his body through holes and spins off would be tacklers, while consciously protecting the football. Ball security is job security. His maturity will separate him at the next level by doing the little things consistently right. Lastly, his confidence is infectious because he knows who he is. That is a dangerous trait. You can see this by the way he has patience then accelerates at the drop of a dime. There is no blocking scheme that he won’t use to get into the end zone. Just plug and play this monster. He has the ability to be a threat out of the backfield, but why play games when you can just hand him the ball and watch the show. Get your popcorn ready this kid is HIM!

A Running Back I absolutely fell in love with this summer during the Future Stars Game events in Atlanta. After impressing me from the second I saw him in warmups on the first day back in June, at the end of the week White went on to pick his up first offer from the Arkansas Razorbacks. White is absolutely rocked up for only being a 2027 prospect. He’s built like a brick-you-know-what and on top of that, was hand-timed at a 4.63 in the forty, giving him the fastest time out of anyone on the Georgia Future Stars team. At 5-foot-7 and 170-pounds, he runs downhill like a tank without breaks. Without question one of the top 2027 Running Back’s in the country right now.
