About Dante

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is smart, quick-thinking, and powerful. This allows me to make split-second decisions giving me an edge against my opponents.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a hardworking and dedicated leader. As a SOPHOMORE, I was voted by my teammates as team captain. I have also been voted captain again as a Junior.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in a multitude of school/personal clubs. For example: Leadership Education and Development(LEAD) Core Member ALPHA Club Committee Officer Darlington Football Book Club Immanuel United Church of Christ Member Basketball, Baseball (Team Captain) Class Officer Non-Sport Awards: Aaron Lancaster Award Chosen for SWAL Leadership Conference

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I developed a sense of leadership, teamwork, and community service on my church mission trip. We were tasked with re-organizing a food pantry, and with everybody coming together to form a team and work together, we accomplished that task.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes. Last summer my father was diagnosed with Diverticulitis, and was in the hospital for 21 days. My family and I was starstruck, but we needed to continue with our everyday lives. I had to take on a few more tasks around the house, and keep my brother and mom in check.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a supportive and strong culture, with strong coaches and teammates that are leaders.

Talk about a Swiss Army knife. Dante can and did do it all for Darlington. He carried the ball a few times, caught a couple passes, and was a hunter on defense. Dante has a powerful frame. It fits the RB position really well and has more of that hybrid look of a S/LB. Loaded into that frame is impressive levels of power. Power that allows him to break arm tackles and absolutely burying ball carriers when he can hit them square. Dante was so explosive at LB too. Flying out of his stance when blitzing or filling against the run. His burst got him into the backfield so easily on multiple reps too. Dante is quickly becoming a top small school two-way weapon.
