Since de-committing from SDSU, Daniel has become one of the top linemen available in the state of WI. It seems to be the consensus that he is a DL recruit, but his OL play shouldn’t be overlooked. That is where we focus today. First, Daniel looks the part of a high level lineman. He has a 6’5″ 250 lbs frame with a lot of room to fill out and add strength. On the OL, Simon uses that same burst we see off the edge to burst out of his stance, close the gap on the DL, swallow them up with his long arms, and overpower them as he puts them in the dirt. Daniel also has really good lateral agility that puts him in position to win the leverage battle. He is light on his feet, and his body control has developed very nicely over the past year or two. Keep an open mind watching this kid. He can help in multiple ways. Definitely a top talent in the state.
