Winneconne has been dominating games throughout the season. Schaffer leads the offense and has been producing at an unreal rate. The defense hasn’t been sitting back and relaxing. That is where our x factor makes his plays. Jesse has been a piece of this defense for a couple years now. He has piled up 48 tackles, 13 TFLs, and 1.5 sacks on the season. Playing on the edge Jesse has learned how to take on blocks without giving ground and finding ways to hand fight through OL and get into the backfield to disrupt plays. Little Chute is going to run the ball, so keep an ear out for this kid’s name.

Stats: 10 Tackles, 1 FF

Jesse did a great job of setting the edge vs the Xaiver outside run game. He did a good job of taking on TEs or OTs 1 on 1 without giving up ground. The junior also impressed with his stout anchor while taking on the blocks of pulling linemen. In either situation the junior was able to find the ball, disengage from the block, and make the tackle solo or get involved in the gang tackle. He did a great job of keeping his outside leverage and forcing ball carriers back inside to where his help was. Give the junior’s highlights a watch!
