I’ve said many great things about Dane. He fits the mold of a solid left tackle on an offensive line. He holds up his blocks as well as anyone and is extremely athletic. Lynden runs the football a lot but they run it very, very well. He’s another one of those players who won’t stop until the whistle is blown, like every good offensive lineman should. Lynden will continue to be a top team in the state, so I’m sure we will be hearing more from this senior lineman.

The last player I want to mention in this article for top returning players in Whatcom County is Dane Gatterman Dane Gatterman 6'2" | 290 lbs | OL Lynden | 2023 State WA . Dane is an absolute MONSTER on the offensive line. Standing at 6’2″ 295 pounds, he looks the part to be a franchise LT in the future. He holds down the left side of the line with ease, so his QB and RB can trust that his side is open. His footwork is phenomenal, as is his hand placement. He is as strong as anyone in the state and showed that week 1 when going against already mentioned Landen Hatchett Landen Hatchett 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Ferndale | 2023 State WA . This Lynden team should be running the ball quite a bit this season, so Dane’s gritty work won’t go unnoticed.
